Robert Louis Stevenson
Born in Edinburgh, 1850–1894. Novelist of adventure and the split self. Treasure Island, Kidnapped and Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde made plot, fog and moral double a popular art. Children’s books and adult dread still travel the maps he drew.
