At the time, Charles Dickens was a little over forty. It was a cold February day, and the writer decided to take a little walk. He walked past a big rich house. As a child, he saw a similar house with his father. Then the father said that if Charles worked very hard, he would be able to buy such a house in the future. It became a real dream for a boy - to have his own house, large and with beautiful furniture. He followed his father's advice and tried to work very hard, starting from a young age. At the age of forty, he became very rich and famous. Charles Dickens was the most popular writer in Britain. He could afford a lot. At that moment he decided to buy this beautiful house and soon moved into it. But not all Charles' childhood was happy. He also went through hard times.
