Nowadays Crowley castle is only an ancient ruin on a hill. Some its walls still stand. Even now you can see how beautiful it was. A few hundred years ago, it was the home of Sir Mark Crowley. Mark was the last baronet of this name. Next to the castle there are an old church and a churchyard. The graves of the Crowleys are there. You can also see the grave of Lady Amelia Crowley, sir Mark's wife. She died in 1756 and left her husband with a little daughter. Baronet Crowley had no son. So the clan was left without heirs. His little girl Theresa wouldn't get her father's property. Her cousin would inherit it. Theresa wasn't happy about this. But she could do nothing. The laws of that time were unequivocal.
