'Fair Extension' is a short story by Stephen King. Dave Streeter has cancer. One day he is driving home. On the way Dave meets a person. They start an interesting conversation. This strange man says incredible things, as if he has lived for centuries. Dave is surprised and suspicious. Is this man sane? Then the stranger offers Dave to live another 15 years only under definite conditions. Is this a joke? How can one believe it? Dave will live another 15 years. And the price is fifteen percent of his salary for each year. Dave understands that this stranger is not a human. The second part of their deal is even worse. Dave must choose the one who will get all his troubles and misfortune. It has to be someone he hates.
