We use plastic all our life. It surrounds you in offices, schools and at home. Our computers are made of it, as well as our phones, furniture, and kitchen appliances. Most likely you are sitting on a plastic chair now. But what is plastic? One of the basic materials from which various things are created. Bottles, discs and flash drives, shoes, pens and markers. It is cheap and reliable. There are lots of types of plastic: some of them are strong enough and people make skateboards of them. Plastic is made from oil, which is extracted from underground sources. When plastic is made - the oil is heated to a high temperature. Hot plastic is very soft. It can take any form. Many factories use this. They simply pour the hot mass into the desired shape and allow it to cool. A simple and cheap way to create anything.
