Have you ever seen an armadillo, my dear friend? This is a very unsual animal. In some way it looks like a hedgehog, and in some way like a turtle. There is a very interesting story about how this beast appeared. Two friends lived on the banks of the Amazon River; the Hedgehog and the Tortoise. They often rested together. A Painted Jaguar also lived on the banks of the Amazon. He ate everything he could catch. His mother taught him how to eat hedgehogs and tortoises. She told him to drop hedgehogs into the water and to scoop tortoises out of the shells. One night the Hedgehog and the Tortoise meet the Jaguar. They deceive the baby Jaguar and run away. Later the Hedgehog decided to learn to swim. And the Tortoise decided to learn how to curl up.
